Thank you, Father, for this day you have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. I thank you Father for giving me peace of mind and heart. No matter what comes my way today help me remember that real peace of mind and heart comes from you. Help me to be still in moments of agitation or uncertainty and rest in your peace. I pray Father that you will be with me today guiding my thoughts and actions and that I will walk pleasing to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

As We Understand Him

We, of Alcoholics Anonymous, know thousands of men and women who were once just as hopeless as Bill. Nearly all have recovered. They have solved the drink problem.

Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But people who are alone when they fall are in real trouble. And on a cold night, two under the same blanket can gain warmth from each other. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NLT

Thank you, Father, that today I am no longer alone. Thank you for the fellowship and the knowledge that you have placed us together with the same common solution. Help me to reach out today and lift someone else up. In Jesus Name, Amen.
